About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are met and their business objectives are achieved, all while working on-site at our office. This role is crucial in driving revenue growth and ensuring client satisfaction by providing tailored solutions and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
What You'll Work On
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with assigned client accounts, serving as their trusted advisor and advocate.
- Dive deep into understanding clients' business goals, challenges, and needs, providing strategic guidance and support to help them succeed.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to deliver effective solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.
- Proactively identify opportunities for account growth through upselling, cross-selling, and contract renewals, contributing to the company's overall revenue targets.
- Monitor account performance, analyse data, and prepare regular reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement, ensuring clients are always informed and engaged.
- Resolve client issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner, ensuring client satisfaction and retention, turning challenges into opportunities to strengthen relationships.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to discuss performance, identify new opportunities, and align strategies, ensuring a collaborative and mutually beneficial partnership.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to provide valuable insights to clients and inform business decisions, positioning yourself as a thought leader and trusted resource.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in account management, sales, or a related client-facing role, with a track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and account management tools, along with a solid understanding of sales and marketing principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Our Hiring Process
- Stage 1: Inbox. We'll review your application to ensure your background and experience align with the requirements of the role.
- Stage 2: Psychometrics. You'll complete a logic/reasoning test and a personality test to help us understand your cognitive abilities and work style.
- Stage 3: TA Interview. You'll meet with a member of our Talent Acquisition team to discuss your experience, skills, and career aspirations. Expect questions about relationship management, strategic planning, data analysis, and your approach to resolving customer complaints.
- Stage 4: HM Interview. You'll meet with the Hiring Manager to discuss the role in more detail and assess your fit with the team and the company culture. This interview will cover similar topics as the TA interview, with a focus on your ability to handle real-world scenarios.
- Stage 5: Work sample. You will be asked to provide a work sample to demonstrate your skills in relationship management, strategic planning, data analysis, account management, sales and marketing, customer complaint resolution, problem solving, negotiation, persuasion, communication skills, interpersonal skills, presentation skills, and active listening.
