About the role
We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through outbound prospecting efforts. This on-site role is based in [Company to specify]. Your work will directly impact the company's revenue growth by building a strong sales pipeline.
What You'll Work On
- Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, emailing, and social selling, to identify and engage potential customers.
- Qualify leads by understanding their needs, challenges, and business requirements, and determine if they are a good fit for our products or services.
- Schedule meetings and product demonstrations between qualified leads and the sales team, ensuring a smooth handoff for further engagement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities and lead interactions in our CRM system.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective strategies for generating high-quality leads.
- Research and identify key decision-makers and influencers within target organisations to build relationships and expand our reach.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to effectively communicate the value proposition of our offerings.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a sales, marketing, or customer service role is a plus; experience with outbound prospecting and lead generation techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales automation tools.
- Knowledge of sales methodologies and best practices, with an understanding of the sales cycle and lead qualification process.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong active listening and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset, possessing strong organisational and time management skills.
Our Hiring Process
- Stage 1: Initial Application. Your application will be reviewed to ensure you meet the basic requirements for the role.
- Stage 2: Psychometric Assessments. You'll complete a personality test and a logic/reasoning test to help us understand your strengths and how you approach challenges.
- Stage 3: Team Interview. You'll meet with our Talent Acquisition team and the Hiring Manager to discuss your background, skills, and experience. Be prepared to discuss your communication, interpersonal, active listening, and organisational skills, as well as your experience with lead generation, qualification, CRM software, sales strategy, and market research. You may also be asked to complete a work sample to demonstrate your meeting scheduling, product demonstration, sales methodology, and problem-solving abilities.
- Stage 4: Final Interview. A final interview to dive deeper into your experiences and ensure alignment with the team and company values.
- Stage 5: Work Sample. A practical exercise to showcase your skills in a real-world scenario.
