Dragonfruit Taster (Stockholm)
**Role Overview**
The Dragonfruit Taster is responsible for evaluating the quality and flavor profiles of various dragonfruit samples. This role is crucial for ensuring that only the highest quality dragonfruit is selected for distribution, contributing directly to the company's reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction. The taster's expertise will guide purchasing decisions and maintain the standards of our product line.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Evaluate dragonfruit samples for taste, texture, appearance, and aroma, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Document detailed tasting notes and provide feedback on each sample, contributing to quality control records.
- Collaborate with sourcing and procurement teams to select the best dragonfruit varieties based on tasting results.
- Monitor and report on trends in dragonfruit quality and flavor profiles, informing product development and sourcing strategies.
- Maintain a clean and organized tasting environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance sensory evaluation skills and stay updated on industry best practices.
- Assist in the development of quality control protocols and tasting guidelines for dragonfruit products.
**What We’re Looking For (Skills & Requirements)**
1. **Prior Experience**
- Experience in sensory evaluation, food tasting, or quality control within the food industry.
- Familiarity with fruit grading and quality assessment processes.
- Background in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field is a plus.
2. **Specific Knowledge Areas**
- Knowledge of different dragonfruit varieties and their flavor profiles.
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and documentation.
3. **Skills & Abilities**
- Excellent sensory perception and the ability to discern subtle differences in taste, texture, and aroma.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate tasting notes and feedback effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and adhering to quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
