About the role

We're seeking a passionate Ocean Man to contribute to our marine-related activities and support our mission of ocean conservation and research. In this role, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the health and productivity of marine ecosystems, directly impacting our organization's ability to achieve its conservation goals. This is an on-site position.

What You'll Work On

• Conduct fieldwork to collect samples and gather data on marine life, water quality, and oceanographic conditions, contributing directly to our understanding of marine ecosystems. 🐠
• Analyze data and prepare detailed reports on research findings, playing a key role in scientific publications and presentations that inform conservation strategies.
• Assist in the meticulous maintenance and smooth operation of research vessels and equipment, ensuring we're always ready for critical fieldwork. 🚢
• Participate actively in diverse conservation efforts, including habitat restoration, marine species protection, and diligent pollution monitoring. 🌿
• Collaborate closely with researchers, conservationists, and various stakeholders to achieve common goals in ocean management and conservation.🤝
• Educate the public through engaging outreach programs, presentations, and social media content, raising awareness about vital ocean conservation issues. 📢
• Monitor and assess the impact of human activities on marine ecosystems, providing informed recommendations for sustainable practices that protect our oceans. 📊

What We're Looking For

• You have experience in marine biology, oceanography, environmental science, or a related field.
• You're familiar with fieldwork, data collection, and analysis in marine environments.
• You possess knowledge of marine ecosystems, marine life, and oceanographic processes.
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and develop solutions.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• It's a plus if you have familiarity with ocean conservation issues and sustainable practices.
• It's a plus if you're proficient in using scientific equipment and software for data collection and analysis.
• It's a plus if you understand environmental regulations and conservation policies related to marine environments.

• Psychometric Assessments: You'll complete logic/reasoning and personality tests to help us understand your cognitive abilities and work style.
• TA Interview: You'll meet with our Talent Acquisition team to discuss your experience, focusing on your skills in public speaking, collaboration, communication, and organization.
• HM Interview: You'll interview with the Hiring Manager, diving deeper into your knowledge of ocean management, ecosystem monitoring, and sustainable practices. You'll also present a work sample to showcase your abilities in report writing, equipment maintenance, and conservation efforts.
• Work Sample Presentation: You'll present a work sample to further demonstrate your expertise and practical skills.
