About the role
We are seeking a meticulous and driven Test Engineer to ensure our software products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying defects, verifying functionality, and validating performance, contributing directly to our commitment to product excellence. This is an on-site position.
What You'll Work On
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and technical specifications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems, collaborating closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and usability testing to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand project requirements and provide valuable feedback on testability.
- Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement and ensuring informed decision-making.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies, contributing to the development of best practices and standards.
- Design and implement automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in testing technologies and methodologies, applying this knowledge to improve our testing practices.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related field is essential.
- You have experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
- You possess a strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, techniques, and tools.
- You are familiar with bug tracking systems such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
- You have an understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing principles.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Your written and verbal communication skills are excellent, enabling you to effectively convey testing results and recommendations.
- You can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar, is highly desirable.
Our Hiring Process
- Stage 1: Inbox. We'll start by evaluating your background and experience in software testing, quality assurance, and Agile environments.
- Stage 2: Psychometrics. You'll complete logic/reasoning and personality tests to help us understand your problem-solving approach and work style.
- Stage 3: TA Interview. You'll meet with our Talent Acquisition team to discuss your cross-functional collaboration, communication, teamwork, planning, and initiative skills. You'll also present a work sample to demonstrate your test planning, reporting, and process improvement abilities. Finally, you'll have an interview with the Hiring Manager to assess your defect tracking, software testing, test automation, and problem-solving skills.
- Stage 4: HM Interview. This will be a more in-depth discussion with the Hiring Manager, focusing on your cross-functional collaboration, communication, teamwork, planning, and initiative skills. You'll also present a work sample to demonstrate your test planning, reporting, and process improvement abilities. Finally, you'll have an interview with the Hiring Manager to assess your defect tracking, software testing, test automation, and problem-solving skills.
