Content Moderator: X
**Role Overview**
The Content Moderator for X plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and engaging environment for our users. This position is essential for upholding community standards, ensuring content compliance, and contributing to the overall user experience on the X platform. The Content Moderator directly impacts the quality and integrity of the content ecosystem.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Review and assess user-generated content, including text, images, and videos, to enforce platform policies and community guidelines.
- Identify and escalate policy violations such as hate speech, harassment, and illegal activities, ensuring swift and appropriate action.
- Stay up-to-date with evolving content moderation policies, guidelines, and legal requirements to maintain accuracy and consistency in decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Trust and Safety, Legal, and Engineering, to improve content moderation processes and tools.
- Document and report trends in policy violations and user behavior to inform policy updates and moderation strategies.
- Provide feedback on content moderation tools and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in ongoing training and calibration sessions to maintain a high level of accuracy and consistency in content review.
**What We’re Looking For (Skills & Requirements)**
1. **Prior Experience**
- Experience in content moderation, online community management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and user-generated content.
2. **Specific Knowledge Areas**
- Knowledge of content moderation policies, community standards, and legal regulations related to online content.
- Familiarity with content moderation tools and systems.
3. **Skills & Abilities**
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to quickly assess and categorize content.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and potentially disturbing content with empathy and resilience.
