Job Ad: Head of Legal

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Legal to join our team. As the Head of Legal, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all legal matters within our organization. You will play a crucial role in providing strategic legal advice, ensuring compliance with regulations, and safeguarding the company's interests. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in multiple locations, including Green Bay, Wisconsin, Anchorage, Alaska, and Kalix, Sweden, with a flexible office policy that allows for remote work. Proficiency in English, Arabic, and Spanish is required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal guidance and expertise to senior management and various departments within the organization.
• Oversee and manage legal compliance, including contracts, regulatory requirements, and intellectual property.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements, such as vendor contracts, partnerships, and licensing agreements.
• Assess and mitigate legal risks, ensuring the organization operates within applicable laws and regulations.
• Stay up to date with changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company's operations and advise accordingly.
• Manage and coordinate external legal counsel when necessary.
• Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions on complex issues.
• Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, finance, and operations, to ensure legal compliance in all areas of the business.
• Handle legal disputes, litigation, and settlement negotiations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree.
• Admitted to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
• Proficiency in English, Arabic, and Spanish (written and spoken) is required.
• Proven experience as a legal counsel or in a similar legal leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate law, contract law, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills with the ability to provide practical legal solutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in international legal matters and familiarity with cross-border transactions is a plus.

Work Location:

This position offers flexibility in terms of work location. Our offices are based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Anchorage, Alaska, and Kalix, Sweden. You have the option to work from the office or from home, as per our flexible office policy.
