SEB Life International Assurance Company DAC (the Company) is a life insurance company, incorporated and regulated in Ireland, which engages in the cross-border distribution of insurance based investment products to Nordic clients across several European markets. The Company specialises in the provision of tailored insurance solutions to suit customers with complex investment needs.

The Finance Department here in Dublin plays an important role in the business. It is responsible for all the financial dealings of the company, control and mitigation of financial risk, reporting of financial performance, fund pricing and the fiscal reporting requirement of the company.

The Trade and Cash Management team within the Finance department is responsible for the monitoring of all trades placed on behalf of SEBLI’s clients, liquidity monitoring/reporting and Internal pricing. The team aims to settle trades on structured products, equities, unit trusts, bonds and other types of investments accurately and on time. A strong focus on teamwork and the ability to adapt are crucial to delivering the highest level of service.

The T&CM team is now seeking to recruit a Securities Officer.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring Trading activity is accurately recorded on our fund administration system
  • Responsibility for the timely confirmation and settlement of trades
  • Fund Administration - Asset trading and NAV Production
  • Daily Reconciliation of Trading Cash Accounts
  • Management of outstanding trades
  • Dealing with internal/external queries on timely basis
  • Responsibility for preparation of payments for daily electronic transfer and matching payments received daily
  • Investigation of Cash and Asset Holding Reconciliations

    • Knowledge and Experience:
  • One year’s relevant experience in a similar corporate environment and industry
  • Previous experience with investments is preferred but not required - e.g., Fund administration, Fund Settlement, Dealing etc.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of the MS office suite, particularly MS
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills - We require a candidate who can analyse objectively and find solutions
  • Good interpersonal skills - It is crucial in our team to have good communication.
  • High levels of motivation, with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
